At Ryan Creek Root Cellar the majority of our traditional, specialty products are manufactured under the inspection of California Department of Food and Agriculture, and are therefore only available at our tasting rooms: The Boardroom in Eureka, CA, The Boardroom Ferndale, CA and here online!

We do not preslice any of our products due to issues with oxidation and product quality. In order to combat oxidation, we vacuum pack, or wrap whole cuts of meat in selectively permeable papers or barrier bags to assure the best quality. Additionally, traditional preservation methods are used for all of our online products. This ensures safe transport at ambient temperatures - please refrigerate upon delivery.

About Us



Ryan Creek Root Cellar is a very small cured and smoked meat manufacturer in remote Humboldt County, California. Our name comes from Ryan Creek, a waterway with historical significance to the growth of our area. The "Root Cellar" references the temperate climate and humidity of Eureka, and California's north coast. These conditions are perfect for traditional meat curing, ripening and drying.
